OUR LOGO EMBODIES WHAT WE BELIEVE A MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL SHOULD BE.

The logo represents a martial arts school that values the people that train within it.

A place students can treat as a “second home” where one can improve their martial arts skills in safety and confidence, utilising the art of Wing Chun.

人 or “ren”

Here, a Chinese calligraphy brush is used to create the character, Ren. This means ‘people’. Our school values all people and seeks to develop a sense of our humanity and an ability to stand tall and walk with dignity.

家 or “jia”

Jia means ‘home’ and ‘family’. At Wing Chun 135, we create a space that feels like a home where you can feel safe to be yourself, to learn and grow into your full potential.

135 degrees

The numbers 135 represent 135 degrees which is “the optimal angle” and mimics a circle. This is the best shape to deflect and redirect incoming force, an essential component of Wing Chun training.

WHY WING CHUN?

Wing Chun has rapidly grown in popularity because it is a martial art that can be practiced by people of all ages, shapes, sizes and degrees of physical ability.

It is different to other martial art practices in that it uses structure rather than strength.

Wing Chun is a close-range combat. You will learn how to use the structure of your whole body to create power in a small space.

Practicing the art of Wing Chun builds physical fitness and mental focus.

Through consistent practice, one can develop extraordinary sensitivity, balance and coordination.
